Bucks County Ancestry Fair
The ladies of the Captain William Magill Chapter were excited to participate in the 10th Annual Bucks County Ancestry Fair hosted by the Bucks County Genealogical Society & the Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania. This was our second year as an exhibitor sharing news and information about documenting early American ancestors. The members of Captain William Magill Chapter celebrated one year of service and education with a tour of the Long May She Wave exhibit at the Mercer Museum in Doylestown that focused on the history of the American flag and patriotic displays. Afterwards, members toured the Mercer Museum’s collections looking for items in common use around the War of 1812 era in a mini scavenger hunt. Following the museum tours, we gathered a local restaurant for lunch and a celebration cake!
